Competition dates 2016 for you from Sabden...:
- The Peter Wright open charity doubles (formerly the Peter Lambert comp) is on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15. Raising money for Marie Cure Nurses.
- The Marjorie Atkinson open charity doubles is on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7, in aid of Macmillan Care. - Sabden Floodlit Open singles starts on Tuesday, Sept 6th, then Thursday, Sept 8th. Then every Tuesday and Thursday in the month until Thursday, Sept 29th. Finals Sunday is on October 2nd, starting at 4pm.

The two doubles comps are full, but please get your names down anyway on the reserve list. For all sorts of reasons, pairs drop out and reserves are always needed.

There's a fantastic, unique first prize in the raffle at the Peter Wright Memorial open doubles on May 14 and 15 2016.
The raffle - with plenty of other prizes too, is raising money for Marie Curie Nurses.
Peter's niece, Jill Wright (Jill Wright Art) has created a stunning original artwork specially for the competition raffle.
Peter, who died last year from cancer, was a long-time club member, bowler and familiar cheerful presence at greens across the north.
